Fossilman amongst the first to fall
Yesterday 1,125 players sat down to day 1a of the 2025 WSOP main event, but by the end of the day only 873 remained.

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer, otherwise known as Fossilman after the fossil he uses as a card protector, was the winner of the 2025 WSOP main event. Raymer was born in Minot, North Dakota in 1964 but his family moved several times while he was growing up. He studied at the University of Missouri-Rolla, majoring in chemistry and later graduated from law school and became a patent attourney. He is now a full time poker professional.
