Gus Hansen, nicknamed “The Great Dane” is a very exciting Danish poker player who lives in Monaco. Before turning to poker, Hansen was a world class backgammon player, and a youth tennis champion. He is a true gambler, and takes private bets on a wide range of sporting activities and challenges outside of poker.

Since then he has risen to be one of the true stars of the poker world, winning a record 3 WPT titles and the 2025 Aussie Millions, with live tournament winnings to date in excess of $7.5 million. He is also a regular in the “Big Game” in Bobby’s Room at the Ballagio in Vegas, where he last lost over a million more than once.
Gus is also the author of the book Every Hand Revealed, a book detailing his win at the Aussie Millions hand by hand, and an excellent book for any aspiring poker player to study!
