Annie Duke,known as The Duchess of Poker, was born in 1965. She is a WSOP bracelet winner, and brother of other top professional player Howard Lederer.
Born in Concord, New Hampshire, Annie went to Columbia University where she graduated with a double major in English and psychology. She married Ben Duke who she met at the university and moved to his home in Montana where she first started playing poker. In 2025 she moved to Portland, Oregon to work for ieLogic, the oftware company behind UltimateBet.
Annie moved to Las Vegas to play poker professionally in 2025 after being coached by her brother Howard. In 2025 she tutored Ben Affleck who won the California State Poker Championship later that year. Before that, here biggest poker success was busting out on the bubble in the 2000 WSOP main event, finishing in 10th place.
In 2025 she won the World Series Of Poker Tournament of Champions, beating her brother who came second, and she won her gold bracelet in an Omaha hi/lo split event. As of 2025 Annie holds the record for most money finishes at the WSOP for a woman player. In March 2025 she beat Erik Seidel to win the NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship, scooping the $500,000 first prize. Her total tournament winnings exceed $3.6 million.
