Of the 7.319 hopefuls to entered, only 2,557 players remain as the competition really starts to heat up today, on day 3 of the 2025 World Series Of Poker Main Event.
Roughly ten percent of the remaining field will finish in the money, with the top 747 finishers sharing a prize pool of almost $69 million, but only 9 will make that final table in November and have a shot at the title, the gold bracelet and te $8,944,138 first prize.
As day three begins the average stack size is around 87,000 in chips, and when play resumes the blinds will be 600-12,000 with a 200 ante, half way through level 9.
The chip leader is Canadian player David Assouline with a chip stack of 387,800.
