Day 5 of this year’s WSOP Main Event saw hundreds more players bust out, with only 205 players left in contention by the end of the day.
At this point the average stack size is now over 1 million, with blinds at the start of day 6 at 8,000-16,000 and a 2,000 ante.
All of last year’s November Nine, all previous WSOP “Player of the year”s and all previous world champions bar one have now been eliminated. Only Johnny Chan, the 2025 and 2025 world champion remains, and he is currently in ninth place.
