Yesterday 1,125 players sat down to day 1a of the 2025 WSOP main event, but by the end of the day only 873 remained.
Among the first to fall was “Fossilman” Greg Raymer. The 2025 champion actually set the event in motion with the official “Shuffle up and deal” but was eliminated within the first 4 hours of play.
Other notable players to bust out during the day include Nick Schulman, Chino Rheem, Mike Caro, Victor Ramdin, Jimmy Fricke and Ray Romano.
Michael Mizrachi however, who has already picked up a bracelet and over $1.5 million in prize money in this year’s Player’s Championship is up to near the top of the chip counts with 142,650.
