Charity Poker Tournament Series from UB

A new series of funraising tournements is being intruduced by UB Poker (formerly UltimateBet).  The series, known as “Second Sundays”, will be regularly scheduled $10 tournemants every other Sunday from now until the end of June.  Prizes will include cash, seats at UB events and MOnster JAMZ and Rockwell TIme products.

Each event will also include a bonus freeroll entry to a second chance tournement, and a shot at an extra $1,025 in UB tournement entries.

The series will run on both UB Poker and Absolute Poker with the proceeds going to a number of charities including Sharon Osbourne’s Colon Cancer Program, and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Annie Duke, one of the UB pro players said, “We’re struggling with a difficult economy, charitable organizations are experiencing a drastic decline in donations. Most people, though sympathetic to charitable causes, have simply cut back on personal expenditures.”

“This is not about individuals each making large donations. It’s about a large number of people collectively donating small amounts of money in order to make a difference.”

You can find more info and play in any of these tournements at UB Poker.  Use this link to claim a 200% deposit bonus up to $1,100.
